Here's a manually adjustable bed back rest that should help with lounging or reading in bed.
The mattress in my van is easily bendable so this could go under it I think. If your mattress is firm then this could sit on top of it.
I might buy one or make something similar.

I had started thinking about comfort in a B on our extended trips like the one to Alaska over 11 weeks. It kind of wore you out. We had two Bs with the electric sofas, one a bifold with ottomans and one a tri-fold. The problem with the sofas was the back. The back was not tall enough so you could rest your head (like I am doing on my home sofa right now) even though you could adjust the angle of the back. Then those twin bed setups with back cushions that are next to worthless for comfort. The turned around front cab seats could be comfortable with a decent foot stool but often a step stool or cooler had to do for that. Plus after being in them all day you kind of wanted to be out of them. I bought zero gravity outdoor loungers but they did you no good if it was cold, windy or raining. 11 weeks is a long time to go without lounging comfort. That's what drove me to my design solution without upgrading to a Class A or Class C. I love the Class B versatility on the move that even those small Class Cs cannot provide. I don't think a small Class C typically 7'-6" wide could have gotten through the gate where we parked in downtown Cleveland on our first test drive.

The Winnebago Travato 59K made an attempt with the pillow head incline. That is the equivalent only with lying in bed and propping another pillow like you would do at home to read or watch TV. It doesn't give you the lazy boy chair relaxation. Still it is better than nothing. I think it was LTV that also had a prop back on their twin bed design but there hasn't been much else in Class Bs.

Those are what we use. It is actually pretty easy to position pillows behind and sticking above them to get the right angle and headrest for what you are doing.

Storage is no problem for use because we have a full time bed and the lounging is done there, as well as the storing.

Those pillows are great. I used one in our Class C, which had no lounging space. I could use it on the bed as above or at the dinette. After there was just the two of us we made a smaller dinette table. It was narrower so I could put the pillow against the outside wall and have elbow room to lounge on the seat. We just turned the table the other way to eat. Our Pleasure-Way Excel is so much more comfortable. Maybe it is a matter of height but we find the adjustable couch is a great place to relax and read. (Perhaps it's just such a great improvement over the Class C) With the passenger seat I use a folding canvas/aluminum camp stool for a foot rest. It doesn't take up much storage space and with a tray on top of it, it is a good outside coffee table
