Chevy Express touchscreen radio options with Bluetooth

Generally, I loathe the appearance of aftermarket radios. I considered just getting a factory replacement but would like to retain Bluetooth call and streaming capabilities.

I'm drawn to the custom fit GM-specific touch screens but the reviews on Amazon are hit and miss. Wondering if anyone has tried the Eonon brand?

I put in a 9 inch Atoto, good and bad points. The one thing I do not like is no volume knob, I find the touch screen control annoying when driving.

I put a Pioneer 7" in a 2007 Rav4 that I'm happy with. I know that they have larger screen sizes in same product line. There are a lot of options that I don't need and will never use but the primary reason for purchase was backup camera capability which my old unit didn't have. Caveat: My Rav4 does have steering wheel controls for volume and channel select which I was able to employ on new unit so the lack of a volume control knob didn't bother me.

I can't speak for the one you're looking at, but I updated mine to a pioneer touchscreen and I agree about hating not having a volume knob, there might be an aftermarket Bluetooth volume unit that could be added to the steering wheel, I will look into that. I did have an issue with my Pioneer being installed with the "always on" enabled, which is how the factory unit was connected, allowng for listening to the stereo while the key is in off position, but it may have contributed to the power modulator I was told is between the stereo and the van wearing out and causing drain to my engine battery. I ended up paying Chevy an outrageous amount of money to simply unplug the stereo because I was traveling and I finally have an appointment Monday to plug it back in and see what happens. It was in a boot loop and the stereo shop doesn't think I need any parts so I am very curious to find out what they think it is, I will report back tomorrow after they take a look.

Another one for no volume knob. Real pain. Can't find an aftermarket bluetooth for my JVC. I bought the van with the after market touch screen. Love the Apple Car Play for the maps and gps directions and streaming music. But NOT the volume control. If you have steering wheel controls I'd look for one the works with that.

I had a Boss Audio system with a knob. Unfortunately, it died when I was instructed to do an update to fix an issue. They replaced it with a better unit but it did not have a knob. The new unit has small crowded buttons along the side. I found it too distracting adjusting the volume while driving. I ended up designing an attachable button piece in cad and 3D printing it. Now it's much easier to just glance over to locate and adjust the volume.

Davebed, that's a nifty low-tech solution, you should patent that for all of us no button haters. I had to reschedule my car stereo appointment until tomorrow so I haven't gotten to try out this bluetooth one that I found on the big A. It was $17 and uses a C2032 battery.

so, the little Bluetooth adapter isn't seen by the pioneer stereo but it is seen by my android phone, which makes it useful with android auto and streaming from devices and it pairs simultaneously with the stereo, so I think I'll keep it
