Class B Minus? Class D (Dwarf, Diminutive?))

It is basically their pickup truck with a grafted van on the back instead of a truck bed.

That is what it is. Ugly but going to be a more capable vehicle for going off the pavement compared to the minivans or the Metris. If you want 4wd it can be done using standard Nissan truck components. All depends on what you are looking for. But is ugly, no question about that... :)

I can't answer your questions, but just wanted to suggest a Roadtrek 170, but I'm assuming you want a new vehicle. Also just thought I'd mention I've owned Dodge Grand Caravans for about 15 years and have camped in them at dog shows. That was the reason I got a minivan, as I had been camping in a tent at some dog shows for a couple of years. I was either at county fairgrounds or beagle club grounds where they had restroom and shower facilities, so I didn't have to worry about that. I took the back seats out of the van, had a wood platform going down the driver side of the van that held the dog crates. Exercise pens, sleeping bag and other gear stored on or under the platform. I slept on the passenger side of the van on top of a camping air mattress. I carried a space heater and a 75 foot extension cord. The space heater sat on top of the cup holders attached to the dash with the cord running out a front window. Food was kept in a cooler that I placed outside the van for the night. I did that for 6 years before finally getting a Class B. I really enjoyed getting the Class B so I could stand up to get dressed and had a fridge for the food! LOL
