If you've been reading the forum you know that I now have a 30' 8mpg Class C.

Don't feel sorry for me

Really. Class B's Rock! (just have to convince the DW! that a walk around queen bed and heated basement storage is not where it is at :wink: )

30' is hard to park.

8 mpg sucks!

Why do you like your B?

I have a 20ft "C" Mark and it isn't too bad for parking. I like the fact that most ferries clasify a vehicle as a car if it is up to 20ft. I've gone on ferries a couple times now as a car. It can also fit into a mall parking spot but the tires are touching the lines on both sides of the vehicle. Since I have a family of 5 with 2 dogs, I don't think we would fit into a "B". Maybe once the kids are gone and I'm retired, I'll look at them if we still have them. Unfortunately, my yougest just turned 5.

We purposely opted for the B..could've had the others, but wanted the B - and still do!!
We like the stealth ability, easy on gas, superb parking and the wife loves driving it!! I have heard others with the big A's telling me of their costly oil changes, etc......Class B's do Rock!!!

The go anywhere aspect of a B has to be number one. Even a short C with a wide box or a pickup truck camper cannot equal that aspect.

I wish that last year that I was more informed about how nice class Bs were. I had just bought a 2007 Dodge Diesel and a 2008 26.5ft Komfort TT. When i was out camping a older fellow pulls up and parks in 10 seconds with his PW.I was really impressed. The following week I bought a Class B. Other junk for sale. No more fiddling to hook up or set up. Just drive and park.

Class B's are really cool.

My Class C is going to be OK because I'm going to park in one place for 3 or 4 months in the winter.

But.......... I gotta tow my SUV........... I'll get 7 or 8 mpg.

What can I say...... Class B's ROCK ! ! !

In Oct. we had to have a intake manifold gasket replaced, and decided to take a trip to see how the oil was holding up. Just returned to St.Louis, Mo. from a trip down through Arkansas, to Louisiana. Went to New Orleans, drove our class b down those narrow little streets with no problem, parked in a normal parking lot, while walking through the French Quarters. Return trip was up through Mississippi, and Tennessee. We got 17.5 mpg, and used no oil. We are so proud of this 1999 Dodge Leisure Van. So around the 20th of Dec. we will be heading to St. Petersburg, Florida, and probably run down to the Keys. :thumbup:

All the above: ease of driving, parking, good MPG etc. And here in Montana, I was able to get PERMANENT plates on my '96 for $185. I am going to the Southwest with it this winter. I had looked for a Roadtrek I could afford for years, but every one I saw for under $20K had 150,000 miles or more on it. I was very happy to find this one with only 35,000 miles. My first RV!

I've been looking at class "B's" for a while, and I haven't found any that have the headroom for someone 6'2". I like the layout of the Roadtrek, but I looked at one at an RV show, and I was constantly brushing my head on the ceiling. Not a good thing! Does anyone know of a class "B" that has more headroom?

Have you tried anything built on the Sprinter chassis/body?
I would have thought they'd have plenty, being more vertical than most other Bs.
