Hello I have a 2004 Roadtrek 190 Versatile that we purchased a year ago. The coach battery is not holding its charge and after 3-4 days it is drawn down. I changed the battery however that did not fix the problem. It looks like something is still drawing power even when it is turned off. Any ideas ? We love the unit and put 20,000 kilometres on it.

Coach battery not the chassis battery right? First thing I'd check is to make sure the Tripp Lite inverter/charger is set to "charge only" when you are not using the inverter. Roadtrek started using that inverter in 2004 so I am assuming your RT has it.

This topic: http://www.classbforum.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=20 shows how to make a remote switch for that inverter.

The second thing I'd check is to make sure no lights were accidentally left on in the "trunk" or in a storage compartment.

All good suggestions, and I would add that you should check the isolator between the coach and starting batteries. They can also develop current leaks.

As a temporary fix, you can put a battery disconnect on the positive terminal. This will disconnect everything including the propane alarm and possibly the CO alarm, so having a secondary, battery powered CO detector is wise.
