A member with a 2026 Coachmen Beyond 22RB reported that the house 12V system and Vega touch screen would not power up while the chassis battery still worked and the van remained drivable. The RV is only six months old and under warranty, but the member wanted to check whether it might be a simple user or setup issue.

Members suggested starting with basic shore-power checks such as the plug, GFCI, breaker, surge protector, transfer switch, and RV breakers. Other suggestions included cycling...

I have a 2026 Coachmen Beyond 22RB that I keep plugged into shore power when not in use. But yesterday I realized the house 12 V system wasn't operating correctly. The vega touch screen won't turn on and none of the 12V system turns on, but the chassis battery works fine and van is drivable . Any suggestions where to start looking? Van is only 6 months old and still under warranty. But I would still like to figure out if it's something I'm doing incorrectly. First time in a Class B ,downsized from Class A ,Entegra Reatta with all the bells and whistles , so it has been a real adjustment.
Thanks for any suggestions.

First, trouble shoot assuming simple first. Are you sure you’re getting power: loose plug, GFIC, breaker, etc. Then there should be a transfer switch and breaker in the RV. Since mine is a daily driver I have often forgot to plug in. First time it happened I panicked and called PW. They told me everything to do except those simple things outside the RV. Turned out my surge protector had tripped; wasted a day troubleshooting unnecessarily. As long as it is only a day or two plugging in or driving usually brings it back right away.

The Coachmen Beyond usually have a battery disconnect switch. Try flipping that switch - off and on. If the Vega is not activating that usually means that the battery is somehow disconnected. A disconnected house battery would not impact your ability to start the engine or drive the vehicle. If the battery disconnect switch is stuck in the off position and will not reset it can be easily replaced.

Even when the battery is disconnected the solar panels would trickle charge the battery enough to start the Vega. Another possibility but less likely issue would be a bad battery.

The Coachman Beyond comes with a one year warranty and you should take action soon, especially if it is a bad battery. Hopefully just flipping the disconnect switch will do the trick.

Are you certain the solar would charge if the batteries were disconnected? Most solar controllers will not charge if they don't see a battery in the circuit.

Here is an owners group that can probably help you with troubleshooting. They are very helpful. The Lithium systems can be quirky and not user friendly sometimes.

Most likely your inverter is not on. You need to reset your Xantrex inverter. I'm attaching some pictures how the setup looks on mine 2021 Couchman Galleria Li3 4x4 motorhome. If your setup is similar, first check make sure there are no errors, if there is one, reset xantrex by holding reset button for fiew seconds and release when Xantrex goes off. It will cycle for couple minutes after that, will show power in and working. To turn inverter on, just push the power on button. Make sure the switches on your control panel are in correct position. Hope this answer your questions.
Note on 2026 Models: Coachmen has transitioned some 2026 Li3 builds of the Beyond 22RB to Victron inverters paired with Garmin controls rather than the traditional Xantrex units. Check your specific build sheet or rear under-bed compartments to confirm whether you have the Xantrex XC Pro 3000W or the newer Victron setup.

I am pretty certain…at least in my Coachmen Beyond it works that way.
That would probably indicate that the solar is connected directly to the battery and active 100% of the time. This is done to make sure the controller always has a battery reference so the panels won't be able to overvoltage the controller and system.

This wiring has the definite advantage of protecting things, but there are downsides also. In particular, if the van is stored in a dark area, the solar controller will stay active and put a small draw on the batteries. How much is based on the controller for the most part with some drawing more than others. If for some reason the batteries do go dead you could still get the overvoltage happening if the panels are in the sun.

We have our solar direct to the batteries, but with and easy to pull fuse to disconnect the controller during storage if we choose to. When disconnected, we turn the panels off with a switch to keep them from being able to charge anything or overvoltage them even if it accidentally gets driven out into the sun with battery fuse pulled for the controller.

Bottom line, I think, says it is wise to have a switch or easy to pull fuse to panels (besides the fuse to the controller) in all solar setups as sooner or later we all seem to wind up with dead batteries somehow.

on edit, Does the main controller/monitor stay active with disconnect off, many of the newer systems do stay active I think.
