Anyone with experience getting the batteries replaced with lithium as per the recall? Mine has been with a dealer for 6 weeks and I daily ask status and all I get is another excuse as to why it is not ready yet.
Originally waited 2 months for a drop off appointment date was to leave to for 2 weeks is now 6 weeks.
First time taking it to any dealer. 4 yr owner.

It came with AGM in the living space without being vented outside. The recall replaces the AGM with lithium, change the BIM to a lithium BIM for proper charging. Also set the solar charger to lithium.

Interesting, venting for AGM is generally not required Demystifying AGM Batteries: Do They Need to be Vented? – ECGSOLAX

Many folks including myself have AGMs in their living space.
A faulty charging system can explode AGMs but Lithiums are not immune. Expensive recall just to replace AGM, I hope they are telling you the whole story.
My guess would be they had one system with a charger/controller/isolator problem that fried the AGM battery and the lawyers got them to overreact. True, who knows, but if they think the lithium is going to immune to abuse or failures when still using the same equipment, they may find out otherwise eventually.

No matter how careful you are, it is very hard to be totally fool proof in any place the can't have a permanent earth ground to absorb bad things that happened.

If it was really just a venting issue, why did they not just put it in a vented box and carry on?

Exactly, venting can be done through the floor not so difficult. Perhaps this recall is delayed due to extended reengineering and cost, new battery supporting devices and lithium batteries can run into major costs.

Is it AGM or lithium? Is it house or chassis battery?

It was in the 2020-21Nova rear bath They replaced the Single 8D 330ah AGM under the bed with (2) Battle Born 100ah lithiums and the Libim225. Subsequent rear baths the AGMs (3x115ah group 31’s) were installed on a tray under the van. You can call Bill or Shawn at Coachmen Customer Service to see what the status is 574-825-6319

Forest River Inc. is recalling 175 2021-2022 Coachmen Nova motorhomes. The Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) battery was incorrectly installed inside the vehicle, which can allow hydrogen gas to enter the vehicle.
