Difficulty installing gutter type ladder rack?
I can’t seam to attach the gutter mount totaly vertical to my van 05 chevy 3500 express. I took this weather guard ladder rack off a 05 chevy 1500 express. So do low top express’s have a different type gutter? I intend to extend the attachment.

I figured yeah I can slap that on in 2 minutes wronge I've been fighting this dam thing for over a hour.

I need to cruise down to the Gulf of America to pick up a couple sheets of 3/4" 4'x8' marine plywood, plan to use my new cargo rack attached to bumper then strape the plywood down to the spare tire carrier for middle an the roof rack attachment for the upper.

Ive mearsured the other option plan B is to fold down the sleeper sofa an stow inside van however 3' of board would be sticking out the 2 open doors.
probally could strape the doors around the wood hook one strape at door striker an other yet to be determined maybe though the pass rear window

It seems as your main bracket’s vertical lip is too long, if you can make it shorter it should help. It is just a straight cut.

I agree mite have to cut it a tad. now what about my plan to transport the plywood? it's on there kindof tight probelly strong enough to hold a strape.
I'll have to slide up the awning to attach the pass. side.

Rent a 4X8 open trailer at home depot, U-haul, or other place.

Not expensive, safe, and easy.

I agree with Booster, personally I wouldn’t place 150 lbs. on the on a flimsy roof rack.
