EGR cooler bypass code on 2016Sprinter van

I have a check engine light with the code P24A5 . on asking ChatGPT and given them the information that I had the emissions recall and rebate years ago and a year and a half ago. I had a DPF failure due to soot, and that was covered as a recall item. ChatGPT seems to think that I may have a case for this being part of the systems and the cause and should be covered by Warranty or at the very least Goodwill coverage by Mercedes as anyone had this problem or had experience with Mercedes and how they respond to a problem such as this?

I had issues with BlueTEC resolved by Mercedes a while back, it didn’t include EGR issues. Did you contact Mercedes or just AI?

I am waiting for them to call back. I did the Blue TEC recall years ago a year and a half ago another recall fix. I asked a mechanic he and said 300 to 700$ to fix/replace but chat GPT said a lot more and to try for the chain of repairs that could have contributed to this failure to get it under warranty or ask for “goodwill” from Mercedes. What are the odds of that?

Don't know what are the odds, but I do know that EGR "black death" was not a part of their recall (my van is 2013). If I recall correctly driving style like stop and go city driving was a major contributon to EGR failure.
