Hi all,

I am trying to install a new radio in my converted 2000, 3500 LS van and I'm not understanding where the audio wires for the speakers go? The facotry connector doesn't seem to have the wires for the speakers going into it?

The new radio's connector, all the power and accessory wires all line up with the scoche pigtail I bought to make it easier.

Do these vans have some kind of amp in them? I would really think not but I don't know.

What am I missing here?

No one answered so I will try. I think the speakers are hooked up through the main connector. The red and white audio outputs are not used. I did not have to add any pre-amps to make it work.

The Express chime and security systems have to have a module that is purchased with the new radio but you probably know all about that.

I replaced the radio in the Dodge 3500 if that's what you're doing. Required an adapter faceplate to make up for the odd size (1.5) radio with cassette that was in there originally. As others have mentioned, the third-party adapter cable made specifically for this vehicle took care of everything.
