For people who has a Roadtrek Zion or Simplicity, does your "food cabinet" (see image below) really difficult to open? Our is extremely difficult to open at the beggining (the first inch of travel) and we need to insert our fingers/nails between the drawer front panel and the cabinet structure to be able to open it. The resitance seems to come from the drawer soft close mechanisim.

Better than falling oprn

We have the 2017 Zion with the opposite problem - that pantry cupboard you’re referring to falls open very easily. This was a common complaint in the 2017 model. Of course when it would then slam closed, it would eventually break the latch. We’re on our 3rd latch.

I gather Roadtrek listened to the complaints and made the closing mechanism a lot stiffer. That’s better than sliding open every time you come around a sharp bend in the road.

You might want to consider adding some sort of handle to the cabinet to make it easier to pull open. Trust me that you don’t want it to open much easier.

I have had mine fall open when I turn a corner, but I closed it before I left for Arizona and had to go to a dealer to get it opened a few weeks later. LOL I am planning to completely bypass their system and try something else... as many on the Facebook page have done.
