Four AGM House Batteries in a 2015 Roadtrek 190P

I just found out I have (4) house batteries. My inverter is only 750W. Is this common? Don't remember ever seeing others talk about having (4) . They are AGM batteries....

I just looked at the Roadtrek old brochures and the 2015 190 came with two AGMs and two more were optional. The Tripplite charger appeared to be standard with it's 750 MSW inverter so the van would have the odd wiring with only a couple of inverter outlets.

A second alternator was optional also, so your didn't get that like it really should have with that much battery capacity.

In the back passenger side. Two inside the battery door, and two bellow them. He checked, there is no 2nd generator.

BTW, I originally took it in because the macerator stopped working. (I only use while winterizing and again in the spring.) Never have used for it's intended purpose. He found that the wiring that ran to it was too small, causing the motor to burn out. He replaced the macerator and added the proper size wiring....

Thanks, but I'm confused! This is a Chevy 190P right? And there should be a battery door with two 6-volt batteries just aft of the two side doors about where the rocker panel would be. So how are there two others "bellow them"?

On our 2015 P210 the other two AGM batteries are located under the van, up between the frame structure in a drop-down tray. One would have to go under the van to access them. The two other batteries are just in front of the passenger rear wheel and on the P210 the access door is attached with two wing nuts so no twist handle and there is no slide-out tray for batt access.

Yours could be the same or a little different, but i am guessing that you other two batteries are in the same and under the van.

We also have the under-hood "generator" which is a Nations large output alternator that
produces DC. So the P210 has two alternators, BTW.

We updated out 2000 rt190v with the tripplite 750 inverter/charger from a later year which someone was updating, good simple reliable unit..
With all those batteries you could have a bigger inverter and something newer is likely to be more efficient and for charging will allow for lithium battery profiles.

We also have a 2015 190P. It was ordered by the original owner with the extra 2 batteries option. There are 2 AGMs located in front of the passenger side rear wheel. The others are located behind the rear wheels, one on each side. A panel is removed for access. The van was also ordered with an optional 3000W inverter.

Here are the pictures. There are two 6v AGMs on the passenger side in front of the rear tire. There is one 12v AGM on the passenger side under the black cover behind the rear tire. On the drivers side there is one 12v AGM under the black cover behind the rear tire. I had to make the black covers since the stock fiberglass covers (shown in the drivers side picture) would not fit with the aftermarket rear bumper.

Hi Romeo, Our 15C210P power setup is identical to what you describe ours also with factory 225W solar panel. Given ours were built out same time as yours, I am curious if you have had issue of peeling with the cabinet peel and stick plastic wood 'veneer'. And if so, any suggestions?

Second, did you ever consider Lithium batteries? When we looked into that, Roadtrek advised neither our LW3000 inverter/charger nor UHG could be configured to support Lithium charging.

Our cabinet veneer isn't really a "peel-and-stick" veneer, it's a factory manufactored type of ply wood also used in boat woodworking (can't remember what it's called, but has a name; it might be Luan). However, to answer your question; we have not had any problem with it. Now that I think about it, I have seen very slight krinkles/bubbling in a inconspicuous spot. So it maybe closer to "peel and stick" vinyl, but no problems.

No on Lithium batteries, too expensive and too many poorly manufactured brands out there. Look at the problems people are having with the popular BattleBorn brand. I personally think China is flooding the market with junk lithium batteries. I dont need to be concerned with another fire hazard. BTW, A good YouTube channel to monitor info re: Lithium batteries is "DIY Solar Power with Will Prowse". He likes to cut open Lithium batteries and show how they are good or bad and if or not, dangerous.
