From Durango Colorado with "Frances" my new to me 2002 FD

Brand new to me, and she is in "cherry condition". I've already taken her to Page - camped at the Wahweap camground, (too cold for Lone Rock, but planning that for the spring). I took her to Bluff, Utah last weekend, and into VAlley of the Gods. She had a bit of a problem with the sandy wash. I was hoping she would be more "stout". She is definitely a paved road traveler. Has anyone out there had experience with putting "beefier" tires on the front. - it would help tremendously in sandy areas.
