Hi Janet,
FWIW, we have met several Europeans on our travels who either brought their camper van across to North America on a ship, or rented one upon landing. Canada’s four eastern Maritime provinces are popular with Europeans, and may be of interest. There are four of them; they contain varying mixes of European and North American culture. The original Indigenous residents of this part of Turtle Island (North America) are Mi'kmaq and Maliseet. All four provinces have very low populations. Numerous small and friendly towns/villages lay in close proximity to each other along both sea/ocean-side and forest areas. July and August into September would IMO a good travel time target.
