recently retired and new to travel camping. Currently use my mini-van as a camper. Joined to learn more about Class B units. Have been learning as I scour the 'for-sale' sites. Leaning towards buying 2007'ish to 2017'ish roadtreks or pleasure ways. Looking forward to learning from current owners here.
Thank you!

We bought a 2007 Pleasure Way Plateau TS 2.5 years ago. It is built on the 2006 Dodge Sprinter chassis. It is in great shape now after having a few upgrades and scheduled replacement items. I don’t think we could be any happier with anything else we bought. I’m sure a larger unit would be great, but I’m just not that willing to spend a fortune on fuel. A big plus is that when we are not pulling our toad we get 22 to 23 miles per gallon. Even pulling our small Suzuki sidekick we still get 17 to 19 miles per gallon. We find it to be comfortable and adequate. As with any older vehicle there are going to be some maintenance items, but none have been overwhelming. I did have a portion of it painted due to the sun blistering of the clearcoat. Aside from that, we have spent less than $1000 on upgrades and repairs and general maintenance. We enjoy using it a lot and when people ask us about it, we unfortunately have to proclaim that we purposely bought it for our dog. We hated leaving her and now we don’t have to.

What price range and years are you looking for? I might be selling my 06C210P Roadtrek just haven't totally decided to yet. It's got under 60K and runs great and everything worked before I winterized it for the winter :). Had it painted last year spring also. Getting ready to go on a 2 week trip to Hot Springs Arkansas from Ohio and everything checks out. Then in July 4-5 week trip to Washington state so it will have a few more miles on it :ROFLMAO:.

Just a couple of pics I had after it was painted. The price would be $40K. If interested I could post some inside pictures.

possibly interested. Where are you located? I'm looking at a 2008 210 now listed a 39K. well maintained, just a little more miles......

I'm new to this class B world (purchased a 2008 Roadtrek 210 popular) 2 months ago. We have a big trip coming up in the fall, but so far, we like it. One item to consider is repairs when you do travel. Depending on where you travel, repairs could be pretty difficult to get. I was originally thinking Sprinter, but read of the horror stories of some of them with the emissions issues. We went to Alaska last fall and if nobody knows, there's hundreds of miles of nothing and between smallish towns, and getting a Mercedes serviced may be an issue. That's why I was primarily targetting the Chevy chassis, because you can nearly walk out of a gas station with parts for them as the chassis is still made today. I also wanted newer than a 2003 chassis so I got the current engine technology, the 6.0L. There will be a price to pay for fuel economy, but we should be ok.

Very happy with the 6.0 gas economy on the 2008 210 P we purchased this spring in Moose Lake Minn. 14 to 16 MPG and yes we went to Alaska in 2013 towing a small camper with our then 2014 Chevy pick up. Most of those smaller towns and gas stations are on generator, but the folks up there are so nice.
