Hi
We have a 1995 Coachman M-19 RD-Ford
We replaced the House battery and the Solenoid.
The battery switch above the stove seemed to be shorting out, so we bought new switched.
It was getting power. But then still seemed to be shorting out.
We went under the hood and there was no power to our House battery.
It looked like our new Solenoid was fried.
On a meter, power on the main battery, the fuses and the battery side of the Solenoid.
No power on the other side of the Solenoid or the house battery.
Any advice would be appreciated.

I had a 1997 like yours 15 years ago. Under the couch is a little fuse with threaded posts on each side. Check voltage on that and check that nothing is making contact with the posts. However It sounds like it’s the solenoid. The solenoid is easy to replace.

I assume you’re testing house side with engine running? Job of solenoid is not to charge house from your auto battery only from alternator.
