I am planning on buying my deceasedneighbors '92 Ram350 LER Ind. campervan next week..I have owned severally types of rvs but never an actual B...the exterior is weather checked but interior is very very good..reasonable price..I am elderly and want it for overnighting locally as I can't tow my little TT anymore. I am sure I will have many questions especially about the ac/dc Norcold Tek2 fridge..My floor plan has the rear dinette/bed and side bathroom.. I am looking for ease and am contemplating removing the toilet and using that area for my porta potti. Have any of you done this? Pros and cons please..or do you let the black water accumulate (with chemicals) and just dump infrequently..it is not easy for me to do it since I am disabled and elderly..My tt will still be used for a couple of longer stays when my nephew can tow me to the park...Thanks for any info!
P.S. we couldn't locate the awning crank..anybody have one for a carefree freedom elite?

on my RV the crank was stored under one of the sofas.

the toilet issue.

I use a flusher with black tank- I'm not carrying a cassette toilet thru a campsite to dump it- did that in a rental once.

Others don;t mind doing that

Welcome to our Class B Forum, How is your NEW Class B working out for you? As to your question of removing the toilet, NO would create an odor inside the RV. I'm wondering what you know about using BLACK and GRAY water TANKS? You will find this to be a very helpful and informative group. Again Welcome sir.

As I shop around I am looking at toilet options -- mostly as an after-purchase mod. I don't understand (not disagreeing) your objection; do you mean carrying it from your spot to the dump station or toilet? Or from outside campground to inside? I'm curious about the logistics you faced

Me too! I hope to get a tour or two to get out of COVID city.

But I need to paint it first. Or perhaps wrap it? 1990 Xplorer XtraVan with 65k miles.
