Is a private members only area needed?

I just found this "member only" section. I don't get why it is needed. I find the same persons use the general forum as the other forums such as rv.net. I'm not a reader but I enjoy reading what others are doing with their camper vans. Mark has done a great job of informing us about the "b's".

It's not used much.

I think I'll keep it though - guests can't see this area so it may be useful for sharing info that you don't want the world to see like phone numbers and email addresses etc.
