I found a 1987 ford falcon for $2,000 it is a ford econoline 250. Its got like 105,000 miles on a 351 windsor. The purpose for the van is to tow my 1977 FJ-40 when I take it off-roading which weighs about 4,000 lbs. My trips are anywhere from 3 hours to 12 hours so the class b part is so the wife has a comfortable trip. I guess the main question is will it handle the tow and is it a good platform for restoration. I figured i would try to get advise from the experts. Any info would be cool I'm a newb to the Class B

From another newbie,
I googled 1987 Ford Falcon RV and could only find 1 or 2 for sale, so it's definitely a rare bird.
The 351 has been a Ford mainstay for almost 4 decades, so it's past being a "beta" engine.
Not sure about towing with a 22 year old drive train, if it's all original.
I'd be wary of throwing money at something that old, but that's just me.
Could turn out to be a money pit by the time you get it the way you want it, and you
could probably have gotten something newer and better for the same total price.

Good luck.
