Was the interior an 'all or nothing' thing? Or did they offer any other options for the interior... as they do on their other conversions?

Mum—I never considered the Sportsmobile interior because of the long wait; so I cannot say if they sell any of the bits from the guts of the Marco Polo. The installation of the top was a two-day appointment. Their build has bling, but it’s costly.
We built the inside.

Fantastic job!! That is pretty much what I am looking for. The Sportsmobile set-up didn't appeal to me. I want a center aisle and side bed (no climbing for me anymore). At my age, I know that soon I will need to downsize and the pop-top Metris is top of my list. But I also want a fridge and power system.

Did you consider GTRV? Their waiting list is not as long as Sportsmobile.

Metris is about the size of our 2 VW Westfalias which became models for our current Sprinter conversion.

The size is why I chose the Metris. I had a Westy.

Thank you; we did not want to block the glass, the aisle, nor slider.

Yes, the cap of the GTRV is prettier when it is in rolling mode; otherwise I picked the SCA. There is no significant wait at SM if you do not want interior bits.

A present owner can comment but as I understand it there is significant current drain with the electric door and other bits when parked. A solar panel would be necessary and a coach battery would help.

If you have Windows:

1. Open “Paint” or other photo editing software
2. Resize
3. Pixel
4. 1200 for long edge
5. Rotate to correct position
6. Save and post.

Pics are oriented okay

I apologize. My guess is that the forum software is rotating the portrait-oriented photos? The images display normally on my devices. I would not leave them disoriented if I saw them that way.

No apology needed, I never figured out why rotation happen but I learn that saved photos in any photo editing program will be OK. The "Paint" for windows is free.

CraigX... no need to apologize. Just letting you know.

They don't all come with the power doors. That is an option according to the Mercedes website. Though at my age, I would certainly want that if available. If I go with this option next, it would definitely have solar and a battery or two for the house portion.

I found when photos rotated it was because I had corrected rotation prior on my computer but the corrections didn't take on upload. I simply deleted those photos, went back to my computer, saved the corrected photo again, closed out and re-opened the photo again. Usually that corrected it. Uploading to this forum's photo library instead of linking photos from an outside source, you can spot rotation before posting in a message.

Going off topic, sorry.

I often use Adobe Lightroom and am migrating to ON1 photo editing programs. Any edits like lens correction, framing or rotating are retained within the program, which means - edits are visible only using original editing program. To imbed edits into jpeg or raw files pictures need to be exported. Windows tool - Paint doesn't require exporting.
