In the market for a 2026 Coachmen Beyond 22D Li3. I know that many dealers will show the MSRP and "our price", showing what you'd save off MSRP. For example, one I'm looking at is listed at $220,926. The dealer is discounting it 18.5% for a savings of $40,976.
This is my first ever RV purchase. I know how to negotiate for a new car, but this is new territory for me. I've heard others say that you could expect to save 25% off MSRP. Can anyone provide me some tips/tricks on how to negotiate? Is this even done in the Class B market? I've also heard you can get better pricing at an RV show. Would that also apply for a custom order? I don't intend to finance. Thank you for your input!

I watch RV Trader for prices.

Right now, there are new 2025's with AWD & Lithium in the $150k range, depending on if they are C's, RB's or D's. I see a non-Lithium D for $135K and would expect no more than a $20K premium for Lithium. Some of them have been sitting for quite a while. Perhaps a bit more for a 2026?

Probably a lot more for a custom order though.

My strategy was to wait until October & pick one that had been on their lot for 6 months. They made me an offer I couldn't refuse. 😁

Hello, We took delivery on our 2026 Coachmen Galleria 24FL AWD with Double Lithium batteries / 1280 amp hrs, upgraded Alcoa Aluminum RIms, every available option except the Air Ride, in June of this year (our "Out The Door Price" was $ 189,886 (includes flat bed to the dealer from the factory, taxes, tag, doc stamps, all fees. This is our 11th RV (4th motorhome). Things had been slowing down quite a bit in the RV market late last year (and more so now I think) so made the decision to move forward on ordering a new unit. How we do it- We always go for about 35% off (although on two others got 38% and 40% off, timing is everything). I prepare an email on a word document detailing specifics of what we want on our new RV and ask for their BEST OUT THE DOOR PRICE....I tell them, they get ONE shot at earning our business. I cut and paste the email on several separate emails to various dealers (some out of state, winter is a great time to order a unit from a northern dealer, they are usually sloooow and will make amazing deals). Then, sit back and wait and see what you get. BEFORE you decide what dealers you are going to email, research those dealers, look for reviews, go on y o u t u b e (r v w i n g m a n ) I spaced that cause I'm not sure if that is allowed on here...apologies if it is not, I am new to the forum thing. You want to be VERY careful with dealer financing departments...again, DO YOUR HOMEWORK. The goal here is to eliminate or minimize negotiations from your side, pay the price you want and get the deal /financing you want. (If you finance you will get a better price and just make sure there is no prepayment penalty...we feel strongly that right now you can get 40% off) The dealer makes money on financing., wait a month or two and pay it off). If possible, don't be in a hurry and just like a car, be willing to walk away. I don't know if you can order at an RV show, I would think you could. Keep in mind, you would be there in person and it is much easier for them to be convincing in person. Better to stay somewhat anonymous :)
You should also know that dealers make A LOT OF MONEY ON ADD ONS LIKE EXTENDED WARRANTIES. In our opinion, you SHOULD NOT BUY AN EXTENDED WARRANTY OF ANY KIND FROM A DEALER. They are available online with reputable companies that are much less expensive and if you want this, you want an "Exclusionary Policy/Extended Warranty". Best of luck and I hope you post your success story!

I used to be a regular on the Coachman Beyond facebook group and the post-covid consensus was that anything more than a 30% discount was a good deal and anything less than 30% off MSRP was not. I think MiniMax has offered you good advice.

Here in FL and other states after all the battles are won they add on a "dealer fee", last one I saw was $1995. When you balk they say it is the law because if we charge one person the fee we cannot by law not charge another person, which may be true I do not know. OK fine with me, drop the discounted price by $1995 or I walk.
