Just picked up a 1989 Dodge Leisure Travel van. VERY low mileage and in great shape. Have lots of questions and no manuals/documentation so a lot of them will have you saying..."hmmmmm, what DOES he know?"... Lots of experience with past pop-ups and my hybrid TT but this will be used for one-man-only trips.

Thanks Rowiebowie, It's a different animal "system-wise" that I have experienced that's for sure. Hence the reaching out to anyone with a manual to that era Leisure Travel. I only seem to have one access panel on exterior but should have one for each the furnace and refrigerator...and no access exterior-wise to hot water tank/pump so I'm thinking it may be an "on demand" set up.

Wow, that is strange for sure! Even modern on-demand water heaters (doubt you have one) and furnaces need an outside vent. Since Leisure travel was still installing absortion fridges last time I checked, there would have to be two exterior vents for that two (one lower, on upper).

The two passenger side vents are definitely for the fridge. The one above on the roof is prabably the exhaust for a vent-a-hood? The smaller silver vent behind the rear wheel is for the furnace (although yours is mounted horizontally as opposed to the usual verticle orientation) and can only be accessed from the inside.
You definitely don't have the typical water heater exterior panel. Your model year (and for the next 20 yrs.) generally had a Suburban or Atwood water heater with large access panels which you definitely don't have.
So the question is, does you van even have a water heater? Perhaps one that heats water from the engine exhaust while driving like my parents old 1978 Xplorer van.

Interesting, I know it has hot water so will have to delve into it a little deeper. I'll be moving it in the next couple of weeks once the snow she's buried behind is low enough to drive it out. St ghat point I'll have a much better idea. Thanks for the insight...
