Nice. There's some interesting things on the horizon, and I think RVs will end up benefitting.

I don't have a Class B currently, but have in mind to pick up a Travato 59GL in a few years. The lithium system will work great for my needs - often times dry camping in warm climates when I go to paramotor fly-in events. I don't want to have to drag a generator around with me, and the onboard Onan generators, IMHO are a joke these days (80dB at the exhaust pipe? Why haven't RV companies come up with a quiet inverter generator that is more efficient??).

Eventually, I think all motorhome RVs and likely a lot of trailer types will have lithium battery systems and underhood generators to be self sufficient for extended periods of time. The next decade or two will be really interesting!

The may have a new patent out of the research company they bought, but they are still locked into a 15 year supply agreement with Panasonic to supply lipo batteries for their cars.

Reading the article, it sounds like this "new" battery is the same chemistry as what is used in the Volta system supplied to Winnebago. Seems like the tech for RV systems is either prismatic cells LiFePO4 (Lithionics) or the NMC batteries (Volta).
