Hi! I’m new at this and I just bought a 2006 Ford Pleasure Way Excel TS (named Eureka) 2 weeks ago after living in a 4 window Skoolie (named Bianca) for 9 months. I’m a retired US Army Nurse/GS nurse. Looking forward to seeing or meeting some of you on the road. Cheers! Stephen

Hi and Welcome

I hope that Excel treats you well.

and is dry and tight with this week's rains

Cheers, Mike

Hi Mike!

Thank you.

First hard lesson learned with the Excel TS. Don’t park with the front facing down or you’ll get water dripping in the AC vent. Glad I caught it on time and reparked it on a flat. I’ll keep an eye on other drips as I learn more about Eureka.

Happy New Year!

Cheers!
Stephen

Ha ! that tip was in my manual

with these rains I have the front up a couple inches to speed the draining off the roof

Screws; your van is full of Robertson head screws, size R1 and R2

these are commonly used in Canadia for cabinetry and electrical

some US "square drive" will work maybe, but I use real R1 and R2 drivers as they have the correct taper

just about every screw in my cabinetry took an 1/8th turn or more to tighten up the joints and hinges

I finally got to download and print the 2007 manual and yes!, it stated to park the rig flat or the front slightly up to let the rain flow back and not seep into the AC ducts.

I’ll remember about the Robertson head screws R1 and R2. I’ll have to invest on that kind of screwdriver

Thank you for the information.

Heh...

Patient: "Doctor, my neck hurts when I turn my head."

Doctor: "Don't do that."
