Hi all, I'm a newbie on this forum and a newbie to owing a Rialta! Just traded my 35' class a with 2 slides for a 2002 Rialta 22QD. Any suggestions on the downsizing process would be helpful and appreciated! Getting ready to take our first trip in the Rialta for a couple days so we will see how it goes. Thanks to anyone that has any suggestions or hints for me! Steve

I try to only carry things I will use to minimize weight. If I don't use an item for two trips, it comes out. If there are things that you may or may not use, leave them at home. If you find there's something that you really need, find the nearest Walmart. I also find things that can serve more than one purpose if at all possible. Once you adapt, you may be surprised at how little you really need.

Thanks all for the comments and info!

Just returned from a 3 day outing in the new to me Rialta and worked out pretty well for the first time. Averaged a little over 16 mpg going over the western mountains of NC on I40 and into TN. Just slightly more than my old 35 footer with the V10! LOL Was impressed with the power and mileage of the V6. Whipped into a McD's for breakfast the morning we left and of course that was a breeze in the Rialta. So far I am very happy with the downsizing. It took some adjusting for 3 adults to get use to the space available but all worked out and I'm sure it will get better the more familiar we get with the size. Thanks again Dan and Duane for the info!
