I got worried about that several years ago and had duplicate keys made, put one on each of the Chevy key rings and carry one in the doghouse storage area. Never hurts to have an extra or two once the locksmith does his job.

Did you try the key for the storage area. I believe that’s what fit my lock.
Best of luck.

No need to drill just use a flat blade screw driver and twist. Pins in lock will break or move back (You can also pick with a paper clip if you are inclined). It will open then replace lock with a new one. They are inexpensive, should be less than $10. It looks like a standard exterior hatch lock.

What make and year is your Class B? If it's a 2000-2004 Roadtrek, I'd be happy to copy my key and send it to you. Ron

There is an easy way to do this. Get a ratcheting cargo strap and put it around the tire. Tighten it until the lock releases...trust me, it works and it is easy. Buy a new lock at an RV place, Amazon or a locksmith.
