Would a 1999 Pleasure Way Excel with 57K miles with an asking price of $28k be a "B" to stay away from?

We have a similar vintage Roadtrek 2000 Dodge B3500, bought with 23,000 miles on it, no rust...our issues have been electrical, replaced the ECM twice for weird problems, would not go into over drive when purchased, died on a trip because there was not a 5 volt signal sent to some critical sensor which stopped sending the 5 v ( an amazing garage in Putney VT Rods, was able to trouble shoot this and get us bacck on the road via a cigarette lighter USB charger with a 5 v output)
My independant mechanic hates Dodges for electrical problems, last spring when we brought it out of storage the "multi function switch" (the lever with turn signals and wipers) failed, this is with about 38k miles on the vehicle.
This said, i love the camper, runs great, but is full of surprises! AAA premier level + RV coverage!

Guess I will stay away from Dodge framed Class B's. Will keep looking for a Chevy chassis with reasonable price, or at least an affordable price.

1997 PW on Dodge 3500. I have had only 1 electrical problem in the 9 years that I've owned it. My FIL owned it before and I don't remember his mentioning anything either. The one problem that I did have was with the cruise control periodically disconnecting. I found that to be a bad brake switch (the switch, in addition to having contacts for the brake lights also has a pair that go to the CC). Easy DIY fix.

We own a 2004 (2004 chassis) Xplorer motorhome, no electrical issues at all. Has 130K miles on it.I did however have to change engines at 120K miles and had to replace the plenum gasket under the intake. Had to have new bearings installed in the rear end. We currently are traveling in it now. Its my first dodge and for a 20 year old vehicle, I can't say its been any more problem prone than anything else I've owned. Good luck.
