I just purchased a 2010 Pleasure Way and the manual suggested using a water pressure regulator. What PSI should the regulator be set to?

Thanks,
Sandi

Hi and Welcome to the Forums

My 2006 PW Lexor came with a camco- they are under $10 amazon or camping world, probably walmart ( which usually has a good stock of RV stuff)

make sure your water supply hose is "safe" for drinking water- usually colored white

before our first trip ( and with very limited experience) I practice camped in the driveway to learn all the systems --- where I had access to internet, phone and a full tool set.

It also helped me determine which tools etc I needed to carry.

Cheers, Mike

Hi Sandi:

According to most people. 40-50 psi. I set mine to 40psi to be safe. I would be reluctant to leave on when leaving for a day outing. A fellow RV person said. He previously owned a boat. The technician stated, he saw lots of boats sunk at the dock. Caused by a leak in the pex pipe when connected and unattended.

I fill my fresh water tank under pressure and to prevent possible tank rupture set my pressure regulator down to 30PSI.

My advice, use none. City water hookups are a waste and can cause damage. Fill up your fresh water tank and call it a day. It takes about 5 minutes every few days, depending on your usage! Keeps water fresh, easy to unhook and run into town or whatever, no chance of busted pipes or a flooded RV. I could go on, but it makes absolutely no sense to me why anyone would use the city water hook up. Just my two cents...
