Portable Air Compressor

The 400P is over $200, yikes that’s too much. I wonder if the 88P would meet my needs. My use would be to inflate the tire after I’ve let air out when in the sand.

I'm happy with mine and have used it. An Amazon whatever .....

I would buy the suggested one, if use meant going from 0 to 80 lbs twice a day..........

Completely agree. I have had very good luck over the years with inexpensive units. They have never failed to top off my tires and blow out my pipes during winterization. However, they are slow and noisy. If I needed to use them regularly, I would pay more.

Thanks, I think the cheaper unit 88P will meet my needs as it will be used rarely but would be good to add to my emergency tool set or driving in sandy areas.

I have a small 120 volt craftsman which works ok for tires, but I can do all 4 quicker if I stop at costco ... which I always do before a trip.

I leave the compressor at home, I do have a can of fix a flat stored in the van just in case, that stuff has got my going more than once over the years

I use michelin. It was top of the range in the store I bought it in but wasn't all that expensive. About 80 bucks.

It was money very well spent. Never had a problem with it and works like a dream.

Harbor Freight unit was great until it failed while I was needing to top off a slow tire leak on the side of the road. Compressor had only light, very occasional use up to this point. The motor still runs but I think the check valve failed and it does not develop any pressure.

Replacement is a ViaAir 88p. Much higher quality than HF.
