so, I can get the pilot light lit, but when I move the dial from high to med to low, nothing happens. Seems like it should light more than just the pilot, but it doesn't. Just a pilot light. whats going on? And yes, I have the AC and DC controls switched to off while trying to use the propane.

awesome. thanks. Now if i just knew what a burner tube and burner jet look like  got any pics?

My propane fridg never had a big flame.the normal flame was about the size of a big pilot light.
Also these need to be burped if they don't work well. Take it out of the vehicle and turn it upside down for a day.

Old thread I know, but some advise about propane and RV fridges.......Your burner and chimney need to be cleaned every now and then. When in storage, spiders etc will tend to make homes there and plug them up. The burner is just a small flame which heats the pipe which has ammonia in it. This makes the ammonia circulate which basically cools the fridge.......This takes hours to get going, so dont expect instant cooling. Another trick is to load your fridge with bottles of frozen water. This helps get it cooled down quicker.
The ammonia circuit depends on good circulation of air to keep things cool.....There are a couple of tricks such as baffles and adding fans to circulate the air in the back compartment of the fridge. I used a couple of old computer fans (12volt) in my popup fridge to draw the hot air out....helps a lot
