Just bought a used Excel TS and would like to wash the shower curtain. The track seems to have a riveted plastic stop on each end. Has anyone replaced one of these curtains and if show how did you get the curtain off?

Thanks,

Hopefully a PW owner will help out here.

I don't have a PW but I just looked at my curtain which I took off a couple of weeks ago and it just has the regular curtain eyes. The hooks must still be on the track in the van. It is easy enough to drill out a rivet but maybe someone here has some advise for you.

A picture is worth a thousand words.

Maybe you could post a picture of the eyelets that curtain hangs from. This way, we don't have to be a PW owner to offer helpful suggestions.

Took me a while to remember HTML code but I think you can see the way the curtain is setup. I was not able to post the pictures in the reply. Could use a hint here as well. Their is a track with C shaped clamps that ride in and under the track. The end of the track has a small clear plastic stopper with a pin running thru it.

Thanks,

Bb

For posting pictures, use a host such as Photobucket. Then just copy the HTML code, and past it into the forum.

1) How is the curtain attached to each of the sliders?

2) If you could get the piece off the end of the rail, would you be able to remove the curtain?

3) Can you find another curtain with the sliders already attached?

4) Can you move your sliders to a new curtain?

5) If you can install your sliders into a new curtain, can it be done without removing the sliders from the rail?

To get the "stop" off the end of the rail, you might just drill it out. Then install a stainless nut/bolt, as a new "stop".

Thanks for the reply.

1) How is the curtain attached to each of the sliders?
The curtain appears to be glued to the little sliders

2) If you could get the piece off the end of the rail, would you be able to remove the curtain?
This is my fall back plan - I will drill it out and use a stainless nut/bolt to replace it.

3) Can you find another curtain with the sliders already attached?
Have not been about to find one online yet - been running some searches for replacement parts of PW - has to be some out there somewhere.

4) Can you move your sliders to a new curtain?
No - they are super glued to the curtain.

5) If you can install your sliders into a new curtain, can it be done without removing the sliders from the rail?
No - it is glued to the slider - I left a message at PW as well - I am hoping they have replacement parts for the sliders. I do not want to muck around with it till I know I can get a replacement if I mess it up.

To get the "stop" off the end of the rail, you might just drill it out. Then install a stainless nut/bolt, as a new "stop".
Again this is my fall back plan.

Thanks,

Ended up drilling out the pin holding the stop on the curtain rail. Washed the curtain - replaced it. Replaced the rail stop and secured it with a very small tie-wrap / cut off tie-wrap at the buckle. Looks good and now we can wash it as needed.
