Removing a Captain’s Chair Armrest to Wash the Cover

does anybody here tried taking the armrest of a captains chair . I need to take it out so that I can wash the arm rest cover. thank you

No, but the upholsterer removed mine when I had the seats repaired, there's a zipper on the bottom of mine and then you should be able to get to the bolts

No bolts on the armrests for the Chevies.

There is a clip inside the backrest of the seat to release the armrest shaft, You have to pull out the upholstery at the edge of the backrest and push aside the foam to get to it, and yes it is a PITA to do.
