The rear quarter widow pane fell out. 2001 Roadtrek 200 Versatile. Anyone know who can supply a replacement? thanks

I recently read about Skilflex Sealant, mentioned on FB. I looked at it on Amazon, and one Reviewer talks about it holding a window in....made me immediately think of that crank out window. Ron

I just googled a replacement glass store and had them order a sheet of plexiglass for me. I used the remaining one that wasn't broken as a pattern and they cut it out for me. I was in Daytona Beach on vacation at the time and installed it in the home Depot parking lot.

I want to try doing what you did. I wonder how did you attach the plexiglass to the brackets? Did you use glue?

No I used stainless steel nuts and bolts and hinges and screwed them together.

Thanks! I had thought using hardware for attaching would be the way to go.

On a related note, friends have asked why not just file an insurance claim? Some say it wouldn't affect my rates due it being glass replacement. Anyone wanna chime in on this?

We had to file a claim a while back (different issue). State Farm told us at the time that there was a dollar threshold for payout, under which there would be no increase in premiums. The amount to fix the car was about $200 over that threshold, which would have increased the premiums by about $100 per year so we worked out a deal with the repair facility to split the bill into two parts and we paid the overage out of pocket. You might want to check with your company.

So I ordered a window from dkhardware.com (Item #: FW904RS) and it turned out to be the wrong size but I was able to replace the lower portion which was all I needed as that part was the same on each. The one I bought was about 5 inches short in height. (I know I should have measured but having gotten the reference from another post on this forum and seeing as how this was the only model available I assumed it would fit.) So if you need to replace the rear side window on your 2004 Roadtrek... Good luck!

no longer own this roadtrek but...

was not an escape window - just used bubblefoil cut to size

Thank you for your reply! There are two handles at the bottom I assume are for opening, but I see no apparatus for holding it open and no hinges or anything visible. I’m afraid to open it in case it just falls out LOL!

it sounds like you are referring to the knobs one rotates to open and shut the windows
