RoadTrek 190 battery switch fail

The battery switch which turns on coach battery in the RT 190 seems to have failed
I can get 12v coach power working but the switch turns over and won't stay off or on.
Power in coach battery drains because of switch fault.

Haven't yet cleaned switch contacts but it seems to be a mechanical fail.

Anyone have any experience with repairing or replacing the switches in
the control panel?

Sure, I've seen those panel switches on the rack at Camping World. The Intellitec locking relay is available on line. Buy one. If you don't need it carry it as a spare. I would just replace it after 15 years.

Remember to remove the ground from the battery as there are no disconnects between the battery and locking relay. There are automatic circuit breakers but you don't want to pop those.
2003 C190P with the original locking relay. It is acting up so I'll replace it soon.

I assume you have Intellitec. Accumulation of an oxidation crud will prevent the relay from latching. My first one failed and got replaced with a new one but I cleaned the old one for a spare. Not much can go wrong mechanically.

I replaced the entire panel in mine, so I had to figure out how it was wired. The switch is DPDT momentary. They are not too hard to find online. Measure the dimensions to get the right size.

The switch is not hard to replace.

I haven’t replaced the relay, but it looks like you’ve got some good advice on that.

I had issue. Talked with Don Neeley. He suggested that first I try a new switch (not new panel). So I purchased new switch... very inexpensive and it worked. Problem solved. Easy to replace.

This battery switch in the Roadtrek is quite easy to repair also. In our 2000 Dodge 190 Popular, I removed it from the panel, took it apart and cleaned the small brass contractor. It has been working for 4 years. Put a little grease on it, also.

Can you tell me how to remove the switch from the control panel? Do I need a special tool to do the job?

Pop the panel off with a small screw driver revealing two screws. You can then remove the switch.
