A member with a 2006 Roadtrek 210 Popular asked how to repair a cracked front air dam, whether removing it would affect cooling or MPG, and where to find a used replacement bumper since new ones were too expensive. Another member said the air dam can be removed to reveal the chrome bumper underneath and reported no noticeable change in cooling or fuel economy.

Several members said they had removed the damaged air dam, found removal easy, and eventually discarded the broken piece because...

I have a 2006 Roadtrek 210 Popular which is terrific. However the front air dam/spoiler whatever it is called was cracked/broken in a couple of places before I purchased it. We repaired it with glue but in the Ozarks I broke it again. UGH. Three questions:
1. How best to repair/glue it?
2. Has anyone removed it and did that impact mpg or cooling? I do see some for sale with the chrome bumper only.
3. Is there anywhere I could purchase a used "cow-catcher" bumper? The new ones are too pricey for me.
Gracias. Safe travels

You can remove the front and underneath you will find a nice shiney chrome bumper. Here's what's waiting to be exposed.

Nah. Are you a member of the Roadtrek Chevy owners on facebook? It is a website just for Chevy RT's.

Thanks much. I think I'll take this thing off. My wife has Facebook and I we formerly had 2002 190p and we were member that group, but I think that's is the vintage roadtrek group. I think we filled out something for another roadtrek group and never heard back. I need to check

Suprising how easy it is to remove. I couldn't fix nor give it away. It eventually went to the dump.
