A member asked for temporary front seat covers for a 2015 Chevy Express Roadtrek because the original seats had started peeling, with reupholstery planned later. Members suggested several options, including Durafit as acceptable but not perfect, Saddleman as easy to work with, Wet Okole as durable waterproof neoprene covers that can be difficult to install, universal Australian Merino sheepskin covers that may need slits or modifications for armrests, and CalTrend covers that held up well on...

Has anyone found decent seat covers for the Roadtrek (Chevy Express)? Our 2015 front seats have finally started to peel. I will eventually get them reupholstered but am looking for a temporary fix.

Thanks, Mike

If you are looking (IMO) for the Cadillac of seat covers, then check out "Wet Okole". When I was in the volunteer ocean rescue business, all of our vehicles had them. They are waterproof and wear like iron. We needed a waterproof cover because our seat springs were always rusting out. Come in a variety of colors and options. I have them in my 10 year old Honda and they still look good. Having said that, they are on the higher price side, and since they are neoprene, they do take some finessing to get them fitted on the seat properly. Once on, they stay on and last forever (imo). This is a project for two patient adults (who can work together :)) and starting first thing in the morning with coffee and breakfast and a clear calendar. After you put on 15-20 of them, it gets easier. Website used to have helpful videos about installation. Not sure how bad your seats are now; but, these could be a permanent fix and your present seats may not need reupholstering with these covers.

We have these are 06 190p
Plush, universal-fit car seat cover crafted from 100% Australian Merino sheepskin for year-round comfort and interior style. Check it out now! Amazon.com
They aren't made for armrests so you can either pull the armrests off and make a hole for the PIN or what I did was just cut a slit to go around.
They look nice and are very comfortable.
They come in tan and charcoal. Around 100 bucks.

Do they stay on ? The bottom seat part securely fastened?

Our 2011 Chevy Savana 3500, basically the same as an Express 3500 with built-in (molded) headrests, has CalTrend front bucket covers. They advertise as being good for the 2008–2014 Savana/Express. You could check with CalTrend to see if they also cover 2015 RTs. We’ve had our RT for 14 years and so far they show no signs of wear. We bought the RT in 2012 as a 3000 kilometre used/prototype demo Ranger.
FWIW, the covers it came with started wearing out ofter three years
