Selling the C - mixed emotions

The "ooops I sent too much, please refund the overpayment", then their cheque bounces scam probably.
I've tried kijiji myself and had almost been scammed. I traced the emailer's location, and sent them a
warning note to quit wasting my time. Their emails and questions stopped. I guess they were surprised
at how easy it is to figure out where people actually live, etc. from subtle info available online, even
something as simple as their email "handle" can give you a place to start your trace.
You're right about temps. We've been back since Friday night and I only did a quick re-winterize before
we parked it. It's been sub-freezing every night since we got back and I'm worried what I did might not
be enough. If it EVER decides to warm up again, I'll just have to refill things and look for problems.
Fingers crossed. :)

Looks like a variation of the "ooops I sent too much money in my (bogus) cheque to buy your camper-
can you please send me back the overpayment/difference using one of your (good) ones?" scam.
My sister got one of those a year ago when someone sent an email to buy a (mini-pin) puppy
she was selling. I told her to tell the guy to bug off. There were all kinds of mistakes in the email,
including the perps had multiple email ids that were spelled almost the same but were one character
different, probably to hide their intent, and were probably set up as disposable email addresses that
would be harder or impossible to trace.
