Here's a new Transit conversion on the longer version of the van. I hadn't seen one yet.

Of course this is a Euro version and not available here yet. But it does give you an idea of what a commercially available conversion might look like.

Interesting!

On internet, it says just under 22ft. long (6.7m) which is about 263", which would be the "Wagon XLT" on the US site. Still, at that length the WB is 147.6", less than the Promaster 159" WB. Could not find any info on turning radius, though.

At that length, I am surprised the beds are only 6ft. long (per video), but elsewhere I read "king-size" bed, so I think they are longer.

Like the removable - not just a fold-up - bath sink

Yes, this one has the single rear wheel and not the duals. I really do not like the long rear overhang. I would expect it would handle poorly fully loaded. Surely it has electronic stability controls to counter the dynamics imposed by these proportions.

I imagine that in the UK, their expectations for deisel "performance" is a bit less than ours. ;)

... and it hustles along briskly... she assures us... LOL
We have the same Transit in Australia and if you remember Mercedes testing their new 2.1 litre engine up the Ike Gauntlet in the Sprinter and it was no slouch, you get a similar performance from the 2.2 Transit
U.K. Is the main market for the Transit , globally

No, not at all. Had the experience of a Transit Van towing a 24ft Caravan, pass me on a Motorway in the UK ,like I had stopped. I was doing 70mph. Speed limit on their Motorways is 82mph. Supposedly the towing limit in the UK is 56mph,but you see quite a few exceeding that
