We have the '06 Roadtrek Adventurous. Has anyone tried installing a water filter on the kitchen faucet in order to have filtered drinking water? I'm trying to come up with a way to use the clean water tank for drinking without using something like a Brita pitcher.

Let me clarify I mean the type of water filter that mounts to the faucet directly and has a little knob for allowing the water to go through the filter or not.

I think that would work as long as the water in the tank is good.

I looked at the Brita Faucet Filtration System info:

The Brita® Faucet Filtration System is not intended to purify water. Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the system.

It does reduce the concentrations of a lot of substances:

I went ahead and bought a Pur water filter at Menards and installed it on the faucet. Mostly it will be used when we brush our teeth. We are carrying bottled of water with us for drinking,
