What do you think of the CONCEPT of this?

Think this would appeal in the marketplace, or there isn't room for it? Not interested in debating any of the design details of these examples - there are probably a million permutations of the possible layouts and features of a van like this.

I thought it was neat - not quite a B+ and it isn't on a cut-away chassis, but a van that has been cut up. It's kind of like the concept of a Roadtrek 210 or a Pleasureway Excel, but not quite.

What do you think? I like it.

I really like the van sized width.

There are so many choices over there for small motorhomes.

I would think it would be fairly easy to add a little length to this - like 12" to 16" - would make a big difference. Not sure, but I wonder if there is a regulatory reason why it's not done? But all of them seem to stick to the stock length of the original van.

Also note that on some of them, the rear end of the van seems to be angled up - like there is not as much load on the rear springs. I can only assume that going with the fiberglass shell saves a considerable amount of weight, which I would think opens up a lot of design possibilities.

The big rear hatch seems like the only improvement over mt '88 RoadTrek B on a Dodge B-250 chassis. Modern powertrain might well give better fuel economy. Unless I'm missing something.....

I really like that drop down bed over the lounge. That seems to be coming in a lot of euro-vans this year.
In the states, it's in a few B+/C models like the Trend.

I think I heard 50,000 British Pound Sterling so around 83,000 US Dollars - not bad at all.

Both videos show how the Europeans make such practical rvs with a family in mind and with maximum space utilization within a compact vehicle. Bathrooms arent bad either. The drop down bed is neat. We need some of these designs over here in our conversions. Prices beat ours too .

That RIO was nice. thx for sharing the video link. Some of these look quite practical and even as close-minded and seemingly stubborn as the US RV manufacturers seem, at some point the light bulb might go on in their design rooms!?

For my wife and i, we would somehow get those two extra seats out and make some better use of the area as it is just seating/dinning for us two. The only other thing we'd add is a no-see-um sliding door (home depot has them) for that rear tailgate area.

The electrically operated drop down bed in the back was demonstrated by Great West Vans with their Promaster Classic Class B van.
