The Revel has been announced and a search for "Winnebago Revel" on Youtube brings up a batch of interesting videos. Now we know this model has no propane, uses hydronic heat and hot water, and has a 2000W inverter to run an induction cooktop and compressor fridge. Huge solar on the roof. Apparently AC operates only on shore power. No mention of any generator, but spec sheet says "dual charging system". Anyone know what that is?

There is no generator or 2nd alternator. 3 group 31 AGM's. 200 watts solar. Air conditioner is optional.

What size is that optional A/C? Just wondering how much of a portable genny it would take to run it? I'm guessing a 2000 watt wouldn't be enough. Kind of stinks that you would have to carry unleaded gasoline but...I'd rather haul and genny and gas then go to a campground!

It probably is either and 11,000 BTU or a 13,500 BTU. Either will run fine off a Yamaha 2200 or a Honda 2000. Probably not in "eco" mode though. My 13500 in the Travato ran fine on the Yamaha.

The good aspect of using a portable generator is that in the non-summer months, you'd probably just leave it at home. In the west, we are past the air conditioning season already in September (for the most part).
