Well, it's that time again. I washed her up, vacuumed the inside, changed the oil and filter, and put her to bed in the heated garage. She did a good job for us this season. Her next task: All the kids are coming home for Christmas, and the grandchildren want to sleep in it.

I'm ready out here on the East Coast. Blew out all the water in the plumbing, ran some RV anti-freeze through the pump then blew out all the pipes again just in case I use it. RV anti-freeze in the p-traps. Washed, waxed, oil & filter changed and new air filter, Rust Check under coating all redone.

My garage is not heated :(

Our temperatures are still higher than normal but I like to be ready by the end of October.

Just finished winterizing this week, hopefully have it waxed by the weekend. We will be heading to FL in the truck; have to come back in Feb, and will take the RT back down. By early April it is easy to get sites at the various SP CG's, a lot of the folks have started their migration back home. While it is in FL, I can get it in should it need any type service that I haven't been able to handle. Safe travels.

I've piddled with all the end-of-season chores over the past few weeks. Winterized the plumbing, washed and waxed (a must since it is outside for much of the year) and updated the TV to a 19" Vizio. Even though the vehicle in center says the engine oil still has 52% remaining, I'll change it so it is put away with nice clean lube in the motor.

I do have a very small oil leak in my Onan generator so I'm trying to figure out what to do with that. It will run about 8 - 10 hours befor running low but I'm not real happy with that so I want to fix it before next spring. It will be inside from mid November so I'll see if I can raise it enough to remove the genset myself. If not, I'll have to take it to a local Onan repair center. Their labor rate is $125 per hour so I hesitate to do that if I can do it myself.

Is that a Cummins/Onan "official" repair place, or a local RV place that does Onans?
I took mine to some guys about 50 miles away, who aren't Cummins, but who have
been working on them for years, and can do about anything a certified Cummins/Onan
shop can do. They fixed an electrical problem for me in March 2010. It was expensive,
but a lot less than $125/hour. Ouch!!!
Is your new TV an LCD or LED? The LEDs are amazing looking and if I hadn't just replaced
my old CRT with an LCD flatscreen 2 years ago, I'd probably have got an LED instead. Very low
power consumption when running off 12V source, I believe.
My Sharp 19" only draws 29W at 120VAC, so it's a pretty low draw too. I think it works out
to around about 2.5 Ah at 12VDC.

I need to get the oil changed before I park it for the winter.

Anyone using Lemon Pledge? A large number of motorcyclists wipe their machines with lemon pledge. It makes it a cinch to clean up bugs. and keep machine looking new. It may be just as useful for Class B's; does anyone use it? You can google lemon pledge and motorcycles and get a number of hits. Or click on the following link

That is interesting. I haven't heard of that before. My sister-in-law uses Lemon Pledge on her wooden dining room table and it looks great. Cold drinks, hot drink, whatever - all get put on the table with no coasters or napkins. There are no water marks at all. Just amazing how fantastic that table looks.

I use Protect All on the van and the car.

It is easy to use just wipe-on and wipe-off. You can use it on leather and plastic also.
