Re: Wonder what big advances will hit "B"s next
No for most of that. The battery will recharge at a variable rate, taking large amounts of power for a while if available (up to 5 times capacity per Lifeline claim) and then start tapering once you...

Re: Wonder what big advances will hit "B"s next
You are putting your energy usage and camping pattern on everyone else. Sorry, it doesn't work that way. Not everyone does just a weekend, and I think the example given was just that, one example. ...

Re: Wonder what big advances will hit "B"s next

Re: Wonder what big advances will hit "B"s next
I wonder what the "warm up" time to full output is on the fuel cells?
If they were fast enough to cover the starting of high load stuff like an air conditioner, you would hardly need any...

Re: Wonder what big advances will hit "B"s next
We also have lots of folks wanting to see the inside of our C190P, and one of the largest groups is the pop up camper with a couple kids crowd. They know mobility and living without a traveling...

Re: Wonder what big advances will hit "B"s next
IMO, you are not going to see the younger crowd here, or at the RV shows, and particularly not on the Roadtrek Facebook page. You will find them talking and communicating with each other in other...

Re: Wonder what big advances will hit "B"s next
i was going to get roadtreks 4 6 volt batteries
I've studied this battery-and the tppl technology. it is superior however as you point out it's still 185 12 volt amps.
it does not meet what i...

Re: Wonder what big advances will hit "B"s next
If you remove 50 cubic feet of cabinets to get the windows open, you lose 50 cubic feet of storage, no mystery there. Of course you could just go to a van that is 4' longer to make up for that I...

Re: Wonder what big advances will hit "B"s next
I like the way the European RVs do such a good job of using space, and making it useful. The older Bs in the US were much more that way, but now the big things are wide open areas with windows all...

Re: Wonder what big advances will hit "B"s next
It will be interesting to see how the all electric (including van drivetrain turns out over time). We drove 820 miles the last day of our fall trip to get home, at quite high speeds (67mph average)....

Re: Wonder what big advances will hit "B"s next
And does boondocking mean no water or dump station available, or if it is, how far away? Take the water and dump out of the equation, and you can be out until you starve to death if you have enough...

Re: Wonder what big advances will hit "B"s next
Maybe the industry will head toward higher DC voltages for the entire coach. Even at 48v, everything would be considered non-hazardous (if I remember my arcflash training correctly), but wire size...
