I don't have an exhaust fan in the bathroom but I have the Maxxfan adjacent to the bathroom door and the door has about a 1 inch gap at the top so the fan draws air out from the bathroom.

We take Navy showers. I was in the Navy, I know how to do it. ;) To extend our water, I often use adult flushable wet wipes on my whole body in lieu of a shower. BTW, they really aren't flushable....
