Reading markings from the "switch", left to right, the connections say:

left = Cable B
center = TV
right = Cable A

I did the switch - black from center to the left/left white to the center.

My ota antenna is now sending pics from many channels...

Thanks for the input Mike. I'm having a hard time visualizing how the A/B wiring diagram/swap that you're suggesting would work (but I'm not the brightest "electrical thinking" star in the galaxy)....
