Default 2018 Airstream Sofa Stuck in Sleeping Position

We own a 2018 Airstream Interstate that the sofa is stuck in the sleeping position. According to an RV repair technician the issue relates to the worm gear and cable on the passenger side which got into a bind and needs to be replaced. As of today the hunt is on for a parts source. Does anyone have experience or thoughts. I plan to contact Jackson Ohio to determine if they can help in house or with the manufacturer of the sofa. Other thoughts? Thanks

Welcome to the forum JAR!

Here's a generic way to disconnect and manually lower/raise the rear sofa. Good luck.

Thank you for the info. Ours is stuck in the sleeping position which is best for us. Therefore getting it into the sitting position is what we need at this point. Other issue is we have someone who wants to purchase after the sofa is repaired and operating properly.

Had the same problem in our Coachman Galleria. Check wire connectors under bed. One had come loose with the up and down movement.

Worm gear and connecting cable is our issue. Being repaired by a RV maintenance company.
