Roadtrek SS-Ideal

I saw the following from Roadtrek:

Visit us at the Louisville RV trade show display #2201 to see the next step in the evolution of class B's.

The folks at Roadtrek sure know how to build some excitement with that teaser photo.

They said they'd send something to me in a few days about the new Roadtrek SS-Ideal.

i was told that it has rear door which open and the slide out comes out 2-4 feet from there. i was also told there will not be an electric sofa

My understanding is that SS stands for Short Sprinter so the new SS-Ideal will be a Sprinter model.

Points noted from press release:

* slide room out the rear doors of a class B

* extend the slide room for an extra 3 feet of living space

* the vehicle’s original structural integrity is not compromised in any way.

* larger permanent bathroom

* larger 5 cu. ft. refrigerator

* more storage

* an area specifically made for those large reclining lawn chairs

* slide room contains half of the double bed which converts to a sofa (with 2 seat belts)

* “sold 19 the first day of the show!”

* Roadtrek chairman Jeff Hanemaayer used the first prototype personally on two trips

What? No solar power array and satellite receiver system?
I woulda thunk a green option would draw more interest than adding
"big boy" stuff like slide outs and full bath with perma-shower.
(although it does look pretty spiffy! )
