We used to have a white (colored) water hose and I've wondered if it's white to identify it as 'food quality' or just so it's not mistaken as a utility hose.
We recently purchased a green coil up hose from Lee Valley for our water hook-up. It's for garden use and although I understand plastics to have different grades for food qualtity, will it degrade faster than a white hose?
Any thoughts or facts on this?

Re: Water hoses, is there a difference?
Don't get it confused with your grey/black tank rinsing hose.
I've tried searching and can't find much about different types of rv hose.
Maybe ask at your neighbourhood RV supply place?
