What was the usage of the van you mention?
On FB, there is a Promaster Forum. Lots of complaints. Kip Amore is a "Promasters Only" mechanic in Ohio. He posts multiple videos on YTube. Very funny and informative. In a previous incarnation, Kip was an expediter. He had 5-6 Promaster vans. Not a single one had rust. He says they just do not rust. Several of his vans have close to over 1/2 million miles with original motors and transmissions. Sure, he has problems with some motors and transmissions. But he considers the Promaster van a very reliable vehicle. Maintenance costs very similar to the Ford Transit van. FYI, just look up "Promaster's Only" on Ytube.
