Re: Wonder what big advances will hit "B"s next

I'm not putting my power usage and camping pattern on everyone else. Mlts22 mentioned the 800ah in his initial post on fuel cells along with the lengthy charging for a weekend trip. I simply asked...

Re: Wonder what big advances will hit "B"s next

I'm aware of all that but if you have 800ah of batteries it would imply a lot more energy use one or two battery Bs provide today. If not, why bother to have that much battery power for a weekend...

Re: Wonder what big advances will hit "B"s next

I know little to nothing about fuel cells. Are there any RVs actually using them? The other thing is you mentioned 10 amps of charge. Is that per hour? If so does that mean 80 hours of charge to be...

Re: Wonder what big advances will hit "B"s next

There will be some videos posted soon on how it works. Advanced RV did a professional video they will edit for their website news and YouTube. I had my iPhone set up for controlling the bed so could...

Re: Wonder what big advances will hit "B"s next

Everyone of every age is curious about Class Bs. That has gone with the territory. We have all been approached by strangers wherever we go. Right now you are benefitting with the Promaster being new...

Re: Wonder what big advances will hit "B"s next

Eurovanman,

I am acutely aware of the tiny house movement. It is not new. It is just getting more attention. As an architect I once entertained going in partnership back in the early 80s to design...

Re: Wonder what big advances will hit "B"s next

I dunno. I have three kids in their 40s and a lot of nieces and nephews. They have money. They all camp. Not one that I know of has expressed interest in a Class B. Pickup trucks, SUVs and minivans?...

Re: Wonder what big advances will hit "B"s next

Marko,

I was pointing out the impracticality of that teak floor in the bathroom. I was assuming it stayed in when showering. As for protection, a throw carpet does the job and is nicer under foot....

Re: Wonder what big advances will hit "B"s next

Gerry,

With only 185 amps at your disposal I am not sure you'll get any air conditioning with their current air conditioning offerings. Of course that also depends on the size inverter you get to...

Re: Wonder what big advances will hit "B"s next

I'm a fool now, eh? I looked at the Hymer brochure. Actually coming to America they are being forced to up their game. But as for aesthetics it looks hospital cabinetry quality and look as do most...

Re: Wonder what big advances will hit "B"s next

I'm not sure I understand what Europe offers. What Hymer recently showed here was same old same old and nothing much different than what Winnebago and Roadtrek have already introduced in the...

Re: Wonder what big advances will hit "B"s next

Roadtrek has a couple of CS Adventurouses out on the road for testing possibly with that concept. Their air conditioner is not on the roof and the roof is full of solar panels.

Re: Wonder what big advances will hit "B"s next

Norcold is fighting back. :) "No extra batteries, no inverter, and no generator." I'm eliminating the generator too. In doing so with diesel powered heat and hot water it made more sense to...

Re: Wonder what big advances will hit "B"s next

On this one I thought the all in one black tank is actually old technology. My 1971 Airstream trailer had just the one tank. I would have to believe going to a black and grey tank for dumping with a...

Re: Wonder what big advances will hit "B"s next

This.

That has been Roadtrek's mantra lately. It is easy to camp or boondock without hookups if you are experienced, but the next phase to me is being able to do so without a crippled B...

Re: Wonder what big advances will hit "B"s next

Postscript: Boondocking spurred on big time by Roadtrek might drag the others in to breaking away from the big RV style of driving to formal campgrounds and hooking up. Right now that is how most...

Re: Wonder what big advances will hit "B"s next

Hopefully I am getting the state of the art in most things Marko listed. I was a tad too early for the Sprinter 4x4 for me. I am already jealous of the many ARV customers who have ordered. I'm not...
